Martin Booth
Martin Booth was the author of some thirteen critically acclaimed novels including ISLANDS OF SILENCE, HIROSHIMA JOE and the Booker-shortlisted INDUSTRY OF SOULS; several works of non-fiction on such diverse subjects as African rhinos, cannabis, Aleister Crowley and the triads; screenplays and novels for children. He died in 2004 and during the last year of his life, when he was fighting cancer, he wrote three children’s novels - the magical DOCTOR ILLUMINATUS and its sequel, SOUL STEALER, and a western, COYOTE MOON - and one non-fiction work, his childhood memoir, GWEILO. He lived in Devon.
