Raj Kamal Jha
Raj Kamal Jha, a mechanical engineering graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, did his Master’s in journalism at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His first novel, The Blue Bedspread, was published around the world to spectacular acclaim. It won the Commonwealth Writers’ Award for Best First Book (Eurasia), was shortlisted for the Guardian Book Award and adjudged a New York Times Notable Book of The Year. Jha lives in New Delhi, where he is executive editor of The Indian Express. In 2003 he was a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley
