| Jane Elizabeth Varley Jane Elizabeth Varley studied at Oxford and went on to qualify as a barrister. She became a law lecturer and taught at Kingston University before going to live in France and write full time. She now lives in Ohio. She has one son. Wives and Lovers is her first novel.
