Mary Pachnos joined Aitken Alexander Associates in 1996. Previously she was Rights and Contracts Director of Simon & Schuster UK, and prior to that, of Macmillan London. She is from New York, where she began her publishing career as an editor at New American Library (now part of the Penguin Group) and has also worked at the Los Angeles Times.
